The hare and the Snail

Alibaba and Thieves

     Dahulu kala, ada seorang raja yang pesolek dan sangat suka mengenakan baju-baju baru. Dia banyak menghabiskan waktu hanya untuk memandangi dirinya sendiri di cermin, dan selalu ingin mengenakan baju-baju baru di pagi, siang dan malam hari!! 

Pada suatu hari, datanglah dua orang penipu yang menyamar sebagai pembuat baju yang hebat. Mereka mengaku bahwa mereka pandai menenun dan membuat baju dengan kualitas yang sangat bagus, sampai-sampai kain yang mereka pakai untuk membuat baju tidak akan terlihat, kecuali oleh orang-orang pintar.  

Ketika raja mendengar hal itu, dia sangat tertarik. “Itu bagus, aku bisa tahu siapa saja yang bodoh dan siapa saja yang pintar di kerajaan ini.” Pikirnya. Raja segera memerintah kedua orang itu untuk membuatkan baju baru untuk dirinya, menggunakan bahan kain istimewa itu. Mereka diberi sebuah ruangan khusus di istana, beserta benang-benang emas yang mereka minta. Kedua penipu itu menyembunyikan benang-benang emas yang mereka terima, kemudian berpura-pura sedang bekerja keras untuk membuat sebuah baju. 

Beberapa hari kemudian, raja yang tidak sabar mengutus menteri nya untuk menengok baju istimewa yang sedang dibuat itu. Ketika menteri mengunjungi para penipu yang menyamar itu, ia pun kebingungan. “Aku tidak melihat apa pun disini” pikirnya. Akan tetapi menteri itu tidak mau mengakuinya karena tidak ingin dianggap bodoh. Maka ia pun memuji kedua penipu itu dan mengatakan bahwa baju yang mereka buat sangat indah. Setelah menteri keluar dari ruangan itu, kedua penipu tertawa terbahak-bahak. 

Tak lama kemudian sang raja datang untuk melihat sendiri. Dia berusaha melihat keseluruh ruangan, tapi ia tidak melihat apa pun. Namun, karena tidak ingin dianggap bodoh, raja pun berpura-pura bisa melihat baju yang istimewa itu dan berkata, “Baju yang sangat indah, aku tidak sabar ingin segera memakainya” 

Keesokan harinya adalah hari dimana sang raja akan mengenakan baju barunya pada acara pawai keliling kota. Kedua penipu yang menyamar telah berpamitan dan pergi dengan alasan akan membuatkan baju untuk raja dari kerajaan-kerajaan lain. Tentu saja, mereka tidak lupa membawa benang-benang emas yang telah mereka sembunyikan, beserta uang emas upah membuat baju. 

Saat raja memakai baju barunya, ia tetap saja tidak bisa melihat baju itu, dan ia merasa kedinginan. Tapi karena tidak ingin dibilang bodoh, raja pun berputar-putar di depan cermin dan mengagumi baju barunya, walaupun ia tidak melihat apa-apa. Semua pegawai kerajaan juga mengatakan bahwa baju baru itu sangat indah, karena mereka juga tidak ingin dianggap bodoh.

Seluruh rakyat telah mendengat bahwa raja akan mengenakan baju baru sang spesial hari itu. Saat sang raja muncul, semuanya terkejut. Akan tetapi mereka juga telah mendengar kabar bahwa baju baru yang spesial itu hanya dapat dilihat oleh orang yang pintar saja, dan karena mereka tidak ingin dianggap bodoh, mereka pun berseru-seru memuji sang raja.  

Mendadak terdengar suara anak kecil berteriak, “tetapi, dia kan tidak pakai baju, sang raja telanjang!” Semua terdiam. Raja pun menyadari bahwa anak kecil itu berkata jujur, dan dengan terburu-buru ia berjalan kembali ke istana.

Sleeping Princess

Once upon a time, there is a pair of King and Queen of the blessed, because after many years, finally the Queen gave birth to a daughter.

 King and Queen invited the seven fairies to come and bless the newly born daughter's.


In the grand event which was held as a tribute to the fairy, each fairy gives thanks to the Princess.

 The first fairy said "You'll be the prettiest Princess in the world." Peri both said "You're going to be a daughter of a jolly." Said the third fairy "You will always get a lot of love." Peri fourth says "You will be able to dance very gracefully . "Peri fifth said" You will be able to sing with a very melodic. "
The sixth fairy said "You would be very smart to play musical instruments."


Tiba2 old elf came into the middle of the show. He was very angry because it was not invited. Everyone has long had never seen the old fairy, and thought that he was dead or gone from the kingdom.

King and Queen felt a bit relieved to hear that. They then issued a new rule in the kingdom that there should be no single loom. When the King and Queen returned, they and all employees of the kingdom are frantically looking for the Princess. The king then sent word about the incident to the seventh fairy kind.


The seventh fairy kind and rushed to the palace. He decided to euthanize all the people in the kingdom that later when her daughter ended their curse will all wake up together.


In a short time large trees and dense shrubs and thorny grow throughout the kingdom, making it very difficult for anyone to break through. Even the tops of the palace was only visible edges only. Due to a very closed, the Princess and the whole kingdom to be safe, although they were all asleep.


After a period ending one hundred years, a handsome prince who happened to be hunting in areas near the royal palace to see the tops of it. He had heard many stories about the kingdom, among other things that are considered haunted castle, magicians, and other stories are very creepy actually incorrect.


Out of curiosity, when the prince returned from hunting to find the parents of the most thoughtful and intelligent in the kingdom to inquire about the neighboring kingdom full of mystery.

Arriving there, he saw a lot of people and pets are lying everywhere. But they do not die, they just seem to sleep very soundly. Prince then went into the palace. There he saw the royal officials who had fallen asleep.

 After a walk to explore the palace, the Prince managed to find his daughter in a room. The Prince was fascinated by the beauty of the Princess. Prince was on his knees and holding the hand of the Princess. That's when the curse ends and the Princess opened her eyes. He welcomed the Prince who had been waiting a long time he was happy.


At the same time all the inhabitants of the royal palace and awakened. Shrubs and trees disappear. Everyone got back to their own affairs. The king and queen also awoke and immediately welcomed the Prince of the neighboring kingdom

The Boy Who Loved Bears

A long time ago a Pawnee hunter was returning home after a day's hunting when he saw a baby bear all alone in the forest. The bear cub looked very frightened and was crying for its mother. Feeling sorry for the bear cub the hunter picked it up, held it in his arms and gently stroked its fur.

“Did you lose your mother little one?” said the hunter as he stroked the fur under the cub’s chin. The cub began sucking on the hunter’s finger. “I think you’re hungry too,” said the hunter. He reached into his bag for the last of the food his wife had given him that morning, and fed the cub. As he held the cub in his arms, the hunter thought about his pregnant wife and the baby they were expecting any day now. “Little one,” he said to the cub. “If ever my son or daughter is alone, I pray there will be some one there to help them, like I have helped you.” The hunter put the bear cub down, then tied a small medicine bag filled with sacred leaves around its neck as protection. The cub curled into a ball on the ground. The hunter stroked the cub’s fur until it fell asleep, purring. The hunter covered the little bear with leaves to hide it. “Sleep well, little one. I pray your mother will return by the time you wake up,” whispered the hunter to the sleeping cub. When he returned to his village the hunter told his wife about the little bear. “That’s really strange,” said his wife. “I saw a bear today too.” A few days later when their son was born they decided to call him Little Bear. As the years passed, Little Bear grew into a strong young man. He became the best hunter in the village. He could track animals just like a bear, and catch fish in the streams, just like a bear. “He even growls like a bear when I try to wake him in the morning,” said Little Bear’s mother. Often the young hunter would go and sit quietly, praying for hours where the bears were known to live. “I get this really weird feeling when I’m sitting there praying,” Little Bear said to his father. “It’s as if I can feel the power of the bears.” One day when Little Bear and other young men from the village were out hunting, braves from another tribe attacked them. Little Bear and the young men from his village fought bravely but they were outnumbered. The battle continued until Little Bear and his friends lay dead. Soon after the battle had finished a bear and his mate came upon the horrible scene. The female bear recognised Little Bear. “Look, that is the young man who prays for us. We have to help him!” she said to her husband. ‘I can’t,” said her husband. “My healing medicine only works in the light. The clouds are stopping the sun from shining its light on us.” Just then the clouds parted and Little Bear was bathed in a single ray of sunlight. The bear stood tall, raised his arms to the sky and cried. “Oh, Great Spirit! I ask you to return life into the body of this young man.” The bear continued praying and slowly the life-spirit returned to Little Bear. The bears gently picked Little Bear up and took him to where they lived. Little Bear stayed there for many months, until he was healed. When Little Bear was well the bear walked with him to the top of a hill overlooking Little Bear’s village. The bear held Little Bear's hands in his mighty paws and breathed his spirit into him. “We are brothers now, and are as one” said the bear. “Whatever happens to me will happen to you, and whatever happens to you will happen to me.” Little Bear became an even greater hunter and held Bear Ceremonies to heal others and to give thanks to the Great Spirit for the bear. As he grew older Little Bear changed his name to Bear Man. Bear Man passed on the power of the bear to his children and grandchildren. They passed it on to their children, so even today the power of the bear is still known to the Pawnee people. After many years, Bear Man died peacefully in his sleep. It is said that an old bear died at that very instant. The two brothers were together again.

The Tortoise and the Hare

The Hare was once boasting of his speed before the other animals. "I have never yet been beaten," said he, "when I put forth my full speed. I challenge any one here to race with me."  The Tortoise said quietly, "I accept your challenge."  "That is a good joke," said the Hare; "I could dance round you all the way."  "Keep your boasting till you've won," answered the Tortoise. "Shall we race?"  So a course was fixed and a start was made. The Hare darted almost out of sight at once, but soon stopped and, to show his contempt for the Tortoise, lay down to have a nap. The Tortoise plodded on and plodded on, and when the Hare awoke from his nap, he saw the Tortoise just near the winning-post and could not run up in time to save the race.  Then the Tortoise said: "Slow but steady progress wins the race."

THE PIED PIPER

Many years ago, in the German town of Hamelin, the people had a terrible problem with rats. There were rats everywhere, in the streets, houses, beds, and even in babies cots. The mayor did not know what to do.

One day, a peculiar man called the Pied Piper arrived and said he could deal with the problem if the mayor would pay a huge sum of money. The mayor agreed.

The Pied Piper played the pipes and the rats followed him out of Hamelin and fell out a cliff.
"I refuse to pay!" said the mayor.

So, the Pied Piper played his pipes again. This time every child followed the Pier Piper. They never returned. The mayor had learned his lesson, but much too late.
